H.E. Christine Toudic in Mostar

Mayor of Mostar, Mario Kordić, received Christine Toudic, the Ambassador of the Republic of France to Bosnia and Herzegovina, at the City Hall today.

Ambassador Toudic congratulated Mayor Kordić on his election as Mayor of Mostar and said that this was one of her first visits during her term in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the City of Mostar announced.

The Mayor informed the Ambassador of the opportunities in Mostar and the initiatives they want to implement in their mandate and called on her to find a way to attract French business companies to come and invest in Mostar.

He pointed out that Mostar has potential, and the city government wants to create a better business climate for investment and economic cooperation as soon as possible.

Ambassador Toudic pointed out that due to the pandemic, European companies are now turning more to this region than to the far eastern countries, which she considers a chance for BiH and Mostar, adding that there is a possibility of business cooperation and opening of production plants.

In that context, she also mentioned the French development agency, which will be present in BiH from next year, especially in the field of education and climate.
