Mayor Bešlić Met Ambassador Hohman

Mayor of Mostar Mr. Ljubo Bešlić received today at the City Hall in Mostar, the Ambassador of Germany to Bosnia and Herzegovina H.E. Ms. Christiana  Constanza Hohmann. Bešlić welcomed the newly appointed ambassador Hohmann, and thanked for the support that Germany provided to the citizens of Mostar in the past period, through various projects. The mutual wish for the continuation of the good cooperation, established during the term of her predecessor, was expressed and the need for strengthening economic cooperation, especially in tourism and launching projects for youth employment was emphasized.

Mostar marked European Mobility Week

With the opening of the regional office of the EU Info Centre and promotional cycling tour on Tuesday, Mostar marked the European Mobility Week, organized by the Delegation of the European Union to BiH and EU Info Centre MOSTAR. Head of Section for Political and Economic Affairs at the Delegation of the EU in BiH Jan Snaidauf, opening a regional office of the EU Info Centre in Mostar, said that this day is a special day for Bosnia and Herzegovina because the European Union today gave green light to BiH application for membership in the European Union, which is a new phase and level in the process of integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The path of European integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina is what suits the needs of people of this country because people want changes and want to come closer to Europe, and we're just offering that because we're bringing Europe today, and here - said Snaidauf.

Workshops "EU Directives in the Field of Energy and Compliance with Local Regulations" and "Implementation of Energy Accounts - Reduction of Heat Loss in the Facilities"

The second set of workshops entitled "EU Directives in the field of energy and compliance with local regulations" and "Implementation of energy accounts - reduction of heat loss in the facilities" was held today. The first workshop is intended for management structures in public administration bodies and the other one for professional staff in public administration bodies. Workshops were held in the premises of the Mostar City Hall, in the presence of representatives of public administration, the City of Mostar, Neum Municipality, relevant ministries, the scientific community, and professional staff of public and private companies, kindergartens, primary and secondary schools in the City of Mostar and HNC.Moderator of the workshop was Mr.Darko Knezović, team leader for the energy efficiency of the City of Mostar. Help for Casualties in Central Italy

In order to overcome at least partly the consequences of the earthquake that struck the cities in central Italy, and provided assistance to the victims, the mayor of Mostar Ljubo Bešlić has reached today a Decision by which the Italian Red Cross is granted the financial support in the amount of 10,000 BAM from reserve funds. Mayor Bešlić has expressed his deepest condolences on behalf of the City of Mostar and his personal behalf to the Italian Ambassador in BiH Mr. Ruggero Corrias, to the people of the Republic of Italy, due to the earthquake that took lives of hundreds of citizens. Please convey the support of the citizens of Mostar to those affected by the earthquake and our wishes for fast recovery of all injured-emphasized Mayor Bešlić in his telegram.
